Don’t feel like cooking?
Ridgeway has several really nice restaurants, down to earth places, where one can get a great home-cooked meal that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. One of our favourite places is 335 on the Ridge, a lovely (and very popular) bistro with pleasant atmosphere, outstanding service and a menu to die for. Great atmosphere and the best Haddock around!
Another place we really enjoy is Tammy’s Breck N Ridge, a great place for breakfasts. It’s one of those places that has it all, friendly service, pleasant surroundings and good service all at bargain prices! I really love their eggs benny with sausage, calories notwithstanding.
The Trailside Bar & Grill is your typical neighbourhood pub where we often meet friends for lunch or dinner. The place is spacious, the beer cold and service outstanding! They have a huge menu that includes appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, pizza and awesome burgers. Our favourite lunch item there is the Buffalo chicken wrap but be careful to specify how spicy you like it because at the Trailside, hot means hot!
The Sanctuary Centre for the Arts is a pretty cool place that has several establishments under one roof, including a really great craft brewery, called Brimstone Brewing, and hosts events like weddings, conferences, plays, exercise classes and you can enjoy a salad or a sandwich in their new enclosed “Heated” terrace.
The South Coast Cookhouse has also become one of our favourite places to hang out with friends for drinks and really yummy pub fare. It’s a classy casual place and you should see the size of the wings. There’s also a ton of Crystal Beach memorabilia, which makes for very interesting viewing.
And if you like pizza, Aneta’s is the place to call. A tasty crust, delicious toppings and friendly service. It’s one of our favourites.
These places are just one of the reasons why we love Ridgeway. You can always get a decent meal at a great price and you don’t have to go very far to get.
